Workshops on promoting biodiversity and sustainable development ECO-PICNIC in Lutowiska – ecological education through fun On September 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the grounds of the School Complex in Lutowiska will turn into a space full of joy, knowledge, and ecological inspiration. Summary of the Children’s University of Life Sciences in Ożenna The “ECO-CAMP” youth camp – a meeting of Polish-Ukrainian youth in the heart of nature – has just concluded. The camp brought together Polish and Ukrainian children. The five-day event took place in the picturesque village of Ożenna, and its main goal was to bring young people together and discover the beauty of nature. During the camp, participants participated in numerous educational activities and workshops, as well as excursions to Magura National Park and nearby attractions. Each day was an opportunity to gain new experiences, learn through play, and build friendships across borders. “ECO-CAMP” was characterized not only by active recreation but also by an excellent opportunity to promote pro-ecological attitudes and mutual understanding. Registration for the Children’s University of Natural Sciences begins The State Academy of Applied Sciences in Jarosław announces the recruitment of participants for the Children’s University of Life Sciences. We invite children aged 7 to 15 to take part in our project. Participation is possible in one of two activities, but registration for one excludes participation in the other: 1. ECO-CAMP – a five-day camp in the Magura National Park, intended for children in grades 6-8.2. Ecological awareness workshops – covering various topics related to biodiversity and its importance, carried out in the form of two-month training cycles for students in grades 1-8. The workshops consist of one meeting per month and three-day educational trips in the second month. The project includes 5 editions, each lasting two months. Kick-off meeting of the project partners in Jarosław On April 23-24, 2025, the inaugural meeting of the project partners “Carpathian Youth for Eco-Smart Education” was held, during which all planned assumptions and future effects of the work were presented and discussed. The meeting was organized by the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Yaroslavl, which acts as the Project Leader. The meeting was also an excellent opportunity to agree on the scope, objectives and schedule of the project with all project partners. Signing of PL-UA partnership agreements On January 13/14, 2025, the ceremonial signing of partnership agreements regarding the implementation of the Polish-Ukrainian project “CARPATHIAN YOUTH FOR ECO SMART EDUCATION” took place as part of the Interreg NEXT Poland-Ukraine Program 2021-2027. CARPATHIAN YOUTH FOR ECO SMART EDUCATION „CARPATHIAN YOUTH FOR ECO SMART EDUCATION” State University of Applied Sciences in Jaroslaw is implementing the PLUA.01.03-IP.01-0017/23 project co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine Program 2021-2027. The aim of the project is to implement a number of investments in the field of biodiversity conservation and promotional and educational activities aimed at children, youth and students. The project will create educational centers on both the Polish and Ukrainian sides. Thanks to the funds obtained, our University will feature, among others: 1. Internal ecological path/interactive educational center – cinema room, three exhibition rooms and an apitherapy room. 2. Equipment and multimedia equipment about the life of bees.
