State University of Applied Sciences in Jaroslaw is implementing the PLUA.01.03-IP.01-0017/23 project co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Poland – Ukraine Program 2021-2027.
The aim of the project is to implement a number of investments in the field of biodiversity conservation and promotional and educational activities aimed at children, youth and students. The project will create educational centers on both the Polish and Ukrainian sides.
The aim of the project is to create and develop interactive nature centers in the Uzhany National Nature Park, at the National University of Uzhhorod and in Yaroslavl, which will promote biodiversity conservation and ecological education. These centers aim not only to popularize knowledge about the local flora, fauna and ecosystems of the Carpathians, but also to integrate scientific and educational activities addressed to a wide audience: children, youth, students and tourists.
The project involves the organization of interactive exhibitions, multimedia presentations, educational trips and workshops that will enable participants to actively explore nature and engage in scientific research. Particular emphasis will be placed on education regarding the protection of honey bees and their impact on biodiversity, including sustainable agriculture and flora of the Carpathian region. In addition, the project envisages conducting an audit of the ecosystems of the Użański and Magura National Parks and developing a strategy for their protection and restoration.
The project also aims to educate a new generation of responsible citizens by implementing environmental education programs in primary and secondary schools and integrating cross-border activities in the region, strengthening international cooperation and raising environmental awareness at local and regional levels.
The project results will be achieved by implementing the following tasks:
Task 1. Communication and dissemination activities.
