Kick-off meeting of the project partners in Jarosław
On April 23-24, 2025, the inaugural meeting of the project partners “Carpathian Youth for Eco-Smart Education” was held, during which all planned assumptions and future effects of the work were presented and discussed. The meeting was organized by the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Yaroslavl, which acts as the Project Leader. The meeting was also an excellent opportunity to agree on the scope, objectives and schedule of the project with all project partners.
During the expert presentations, the detailed scope of activities was presented:
1) State Academy of Applied Sciences named after Father Bronisław Markiewicz in Yaroslavl,
2) Magura National Park,
3) Association of the Carpathian Euroregion Poland
4) Transcarpathian Regional Development Agency,
5) Uzhhorod National University,
6) Uzhany National Park.
The Project Leader was represented by, among others: Head of Fundraising Department – Tomasz Sikora, Project Manager – Jarosław Stępiński, Fundrasing Department Employees – Konrad Bajdak and Magdalena Harpak.
The implementation of the project by the Project Leader focuses on 4 tasks related to communication and dissemination activities, building educational paths on biodiversity, creating new eco-strategies, educational programs and methods of teaching environmental sciences, as well as cross-border educational activities for children from Ukraine and Poland.

As part of the project, the following will be built on the premises of PANS in Jarosław:
– Interactive Educational Center with a cinema room,
– Flower meadow (75 ares) and biocenotic garden (12 ares),
– Apitherapy room, including exhibition rooms,
– pocket forest,
– Green walls and houses for insects.
Project value: EUR 1,816,847.22
Funding: EUR 1,632,618.93
