The next workshop as part of the Youth4EcoEdu project, which took place on October 25, 2025 – “CARPATHIAN YOUTH FOR ECO SMART EDUCATION” – was held in the town of Iwonicz. The project is co-financed by the Interreg NEXT Poland–Ukraine Programme 2021–2027. The meeting was organised by the project partner, the Association of the Carpathian Euroregion Poland, and marked another important step in strengthening youth engagement in environmental protection across the Carpathian region.
The workshop was conducted in a hybrid format – some participants attended on-site in Iwonicz, while young people from Ukraine joined the event remotely. This approach enabled international exchange of experiences and joint cooperation beyond borders.
During the sessions, participants worked with thematic cards, analysing local natural resources and threats to the environment. The role of institutions in biodiversity protection was also discussed, and concrete pro-ecological actions that can be implemented in participants’ immediate surroundings were planned.
The meeting provided an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, ideas, and inspiration, as well as to jointly search for practical solutions supporting nature and sustainable development in the region.
The organisers would like to express their sincere gratitude to all participants for their active involvement. Special thanks are extended to the Iwonicz-Zdrój Municipality and the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Iwonicz (OSP Iwonicz) for their support, kindness, and for preparing the venue where the workshop took place.
